I just helped a very polite, friendly young man with a swastika tattooed on his hand.
I became very self conscious of the Jewish star around my neck. Scary!

There's a woman from India who comes into my library wearing a necklace with a swaztika on it. I have to keep mentally reminding myself that in her faith and culture it means something completely different. But truthfully, knowing what that was last tied to in history, it still creeps me out and can barely keep from staring.
